I’ve been using the Kanex keyboard for a week now and have found it to be excellent. First of all, it looks great. The premium aluminum finish is first class, and the black keys look and feel better than the white keys on my old Apple keyboard. I also had no trouble “pairing” the keyboard with my Mac (the time from unpacking to typing took about five minutes). I also found that I felt immediately comfortable using my new keyboard because the location and size of the keys are almost identical to my old keyboard.
Steve’s Pick of the Week!
Kanex has just come out with a brand new extended wireless Mac-style keyboard (something Apple does not even offer!): the Kanex Multi-Sync Aluminum Bluetooth Full-Size Keyboard. Because of my work (studio recording and mixing), I need to use an extended keyboard, so I’ve been waiting many years for a Mac-style bluetooth extended keyboard. Fortunately, this keyboard is now available for sale at Spring Street Mac!
It features a Full-sized Mac key layout, including a full numeric keypad. Another excellent feature is the ability to connect 4 bluetooth devices at once, and quickly switch between the four. It works with Bluetooth-enabled iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Mac, but will also pair with any PC or Android device as well. There are 4 LED indicators that let you know what device you are currently connected to. There are Caps Lock and Battery LED indicators. The Bluetooth Technology is Bluetooth 3.0, and the package includes 2 AAA batteries, so you can use it right out of the box.
Overall, I’d say this is an excellent accessory, available for purchase right now at Spring Street Mac!
